North Lincolnshire Cycle Hub

The North Lincolnshire R-evolution Cycle Hub is funded by the Community Renewable Fund via North Lincolnshire council. As well as its accredited training offer, the Cycle Hub also delivers cycle maintenance workshops and taster sessions, teaching people of all ages how to undertake basic cycle maintenance such as mending a chain or fixing punctures.

The team also offers Bike Libraries to groups, schools, businesses and communities, loaning cycles to people for pleasure, to improve fitness, health and wellbeing, or to access work, education or training. Our 'Dr Bike' sessions can be booked for community events, for businesses, schools, colleges and groups, providing basic cycle repairs by qualified cycle mechanics.

In North Lincolnshire we take donated bikes, which, where possible, will be repaired by Cycle Hub Trainees. These can be donated at Normanby Hall Country Park during opening hours, and at the R-evolution Cycle Hub, Scunthorpe Central, Carlton Street, Scunthorpe between the hours of 9am and 4pm, Monday to Thursday only.

Cycle Maintenance

A cycle maintenance course is a crash course with a professional mechanic in small groups: these courses range from ½ hour, 1-hour and 3-hour sessions.

We also offer our 3 hour course at Trinity Market on the first Saturday of every month for just £40, find out more here

Bike Servicing and Repairs

We want to keep you on the move! So, if you need your bike servicing, repaired or just want some safety accessories or advice, then swing by for a chat with our professionals!

No booking needed, just wheel your bike across for our mechanics to give a quick assessment so they can give you an estimated quote. If it is something they can’t fix on the spot, they will take your details down and give you a call when the job is done.

Got a puncture on your way to work? Pop it in and we will get you back on the roads as quick as we can!

Accredited Training

We deliver City & Guilds Level 1 Award in Cycle Mechanics at our Cottingham Workshop. This is a practical course, aimed for all skills levels. Our Cycle Mechanic Tutor will guide you through the units. You will be practising your skills on donated bikes which, once fully safety checked by our qualified mechanic, will be re-distributed back into the community. We love recycling at R-evolution!
